Meet Chloe and Kyle.

Their story began more than a decade ago in a high school German II classroom, where a simple introduction quickly turned into something undeniable. From the very beginning, they just fit. There was an ease between them that felt natural and unforced — the kind of connection where trust comes quickly and doubt never really enters the picture.

As high school sweethearts and each other’s first relationships, Chloe and Kyle grew up side by side. They spent as much time together as they could from the start, and that closeness became the foundation of their relationship. What began as young love evolved into something steady, deeply rooted, and unwavering — a partnership built on compatibility, trust, and years of choosing each other again and again.

A perfectly imperfect proposal.

Chloe and Kyle’s proposal story is one they’ll never forget — not because everything went according to plan, but because it didn’t. To celebrate ten years together, they planned a trip to Arkansas filled with hiking, exploring, and adventure. Instead, the night before they left landed them in the emergency room, where Kyle was diagnosed with pneumonia. Not exactly the start they imagined.

What followed felt like a string of unexpected hurdles. A night at the historic Crescent Hotel, a car that refused to start the next morning, a tow truck, and a last-minute rental car rerouted their plans entirely. They eventually settled into an Airstream Airbnb, trading long hikes for quiet nights, board games, and time together — adjusting, as they always had.

As the sun began to set one evening, Chloe stepped outside to rearrange the patio furniture for photos. When she turned around, Kyle was already on one knee. In the midst of a trip that didn’t go as planned, he asked her to be his wife — a perfectly imperfect moment that reflected their relationship beautifully. After ten years together, it was a joyful and meaningful end to an unforgettable adventure.

When it came time to choose the location for their wedding, Chloe and Kyle knew they wanted something that felt familiar, meaningful, and grounded in family. Chloe's family’s cabin in Lebanon, Missouri was the natural choice. Tucked into land that’s been part of their family’s life for years — and even rented out to hunters during the season — it offered both closeness to loved ones and a setting that already held so much history.

They envisioned a warm, sunlit fall day filled with rich colors and subtle gemstone tones woven throughout the landscape. The weeks leading up to the wedding were spent planning, adjusting, and closely watching the weather. When the day arrived, it brought crisp air, wind, and a chill that lingered — but it also brought a quiet, undeniable beauty. It wasn’t exactly what they imagined, but it was perfect in its own way, and perfectly them.

While the setting mattered deeply, the most meaningful moments of the day unfolded during the quiet hours of getting ready. For Kyle, suiting up alongside his closest friends and having his mom pin his boutonniere was a moment he’ll always carry with him. Just before he was finished, Chloe surprised him with a handwritten card — a reminder of her excitement, her love, and a gentle reassurance not to be nervous because they would soon meet at the altar. Having one of Kyle’s childhood friends deliver the note made the moment even more special.

Surrounded by family, rooted in a place that felt like home, and filled with intentional moments that couldn’t be planned, Chloe and Kyle’s wedding day became less about perfect conditions and more about connection — a celebration of love exactly as it was meant to be experienced.

I asked Chloe a few more questions

What were you the most nervous about for your wedding?

"We both weren't that nervous surprisingly. The day of felt calm and loving. We had been anxious for so long about the details and planning, but the day of was just so easy-going. We both just felt at peace and excited to have so many people join us for the special event."

What moment from your wedding day do you find yourself thinking the most about now?

"Definitely the moment I finally got to see my husband standing at the altar as my Dad walked me down the aisle. Getting to see Kyle's final look and him getting to see mine was so special. It felt like I couldn't walk faster to my husband!"

What was the scariest part about having your photos taken?

"Never having experience with a professional photographer! We had no idea what we were doing or how to make the correct movements for the shot, but Meagan was able to explain and position us as needed to get beautiful portraits."

What advice would you give to someone looking for a photographer?

"I think it's important to browse portfolios on websites. Make sure what your design and editing preference aligns with who you'd ultimately like to choose. And start inquiring early on! It was surprising how far out photographers book up."
